Elevated RMA Services didn't start with a business plan. It started at a marina, at 13 years old, with a mop and a work ethic that hasn't changed since.
Cole Des Lauriers started working at a local marina at 13 years old. Not as a hobby — as a worker. He spent years learning how saltwater affects fibreglass, gelcoat, stainless, teak, and aluminum. He learned how marine growth forms, how oxidation progresses, and what a properly maintained vessel looks and feels like.
By the time he was 20, he had turned that foundation into Elevated RMA Services — a company built on the belief that premium service isn't just about the products you use or the equipment you carry. It's about the standard you hold yourself to on every single job, for every single client, regardless of vessel size or vehicle type.
The RMA in our name stands for Residential, Marine, and Auto — the three disciplines Elevated now operates across. But the standard is the same across all three: meticulous attention to detail, honest communication, no shortcuts, and a finished result that speaks for itself.
Cole has been recognized with the Global Youth Change Maker Award and has worked with marinas, private clients, businesses, and high-net-worth individuals across Vancouver Island and the BC coast. He's also been involved in community events and fundraisers — including a Canada Day BBQ — demonstrating that Elevated is as invested in its community as it is in its craft.
We never rush a job. Every step — decontamination, correction, coating, drying, inspection — is done fully, in the right order, with the right materials. The moment you start cutting corners is the moment you stop being premium.
Every vehicle, vessel, or property we work on is treated with the same level of care we'd give to something we personally owned. That means no carelessness, no assumptions, and no leaving until the work meets our own standard — not just the client's.
We tell clients what's realistic before we start, not after. If your gelcoat has more oxidation than a basic polish can fix, we say so. If a scratch goes below the clear coat, we say so. You always know what you're getting and what it will cost before any work begins.
We hold ourselves to professional standards that go beyond simply doing good work. Formal certification, proper insurance, and community recognition are part of how we demonstrate to clients that Elevated is a serious, accountable business operation — not a side hustle.
The products and equipment we use are not consumer-grade. Every item in our kit is chosen for a specific reason — performance, safety on the surfaces we're working on, and results that hold up over time.
