What We Correct

Paint Correction & Gelcoat Restoration Services

Whether it's a daily driver with swirl marks or a 40-foot yacht with years of salt-accelerated oxidation, we assess the surface and apply the correct correction process — no more, no less.

Single-Stage Polish

Light swirl removal, surface enhancement, and gloss improvement in a single machine polishing pass. Best for vehicles or vessels in good condition that need a refreshed finish without deep correction.

  • Light swirl mark and minor scratch removal
  • Surface gloss enhancement
  • Finishing polish and sealant application
  • Ideal for maintenance correction between details

Price: By quote — vehicle / vessel size

Two-Stage Paint Correction

A cutting compound pass to remove moderate defects — deeper swirls, water etching, light scratches, and surface oxidation — followed by a finishing polish to restore maximum gloss. The most common correction level for vehicles and vessels.

  • Heavy cut compound pass — defect removal
  • Finishing polish — gloss and clarity restoration
  • Paint thickness gauge used throughout
  • Decontamination wash required before work begins

Price: By quote — condition and size dependent

Three-Stage Full Correction

Maximum defect removal for paint or gelcoat with significant oxidation, deep scratches, heavy swirl marks, or years of accumulated surface damage. Three passes — heavy cut, medium cut, and finishing polish — for the deepest possible correction and gloss output.

  • Heavy compound, medium polish, finishing polish
  • Maximum clear coat / gelcoat defect removal
  • Pre-work paint depth measurement and mapping
  • Section-by-section approach for even results
  • Recommended before all ceramic coating installations

Price: By quote — full assessment required

Heavy Gelcoat Oxidation Removal

Specifically designed for marine gelcoat that has oxidized severely — the chalky, faded, flat appearance that makes a fibreglass hull look decades older than it is. We restore the original colour depth and gloss through sectional machine correction, not harsh chemical stripping.

  • Sectional cut and compound for heavy oxidation
  • Hull, deck, and topside treatment
  • Colour restoration and clarity recovery
  • Final polish and sealant / wax protection
  • Ceramic coating available after correction

Price: By quote — vessel size, oxidation severity, and scope

Note on correction and coatings: Paint correction is a prerequisite for any ceramic or graphene coating installation. You cannot correct paint after a coating is applied — the sequence matters. If you're planning a coating, we always do correction first. We'll include both in your quote so you have a complete picture of the investment.
